Welcome to the new standard of
excellence in medical education

We are strategic thinkers thinkers who believe in the power of technology and ingenuity to meet the continuing educational needs of today's medical professional.

eMedtrain uses the power of the internet to showcase state of the art medical procedures and developments on the association's website, and to acknowledge the goals of the corporations that support them.

Recognized physician leaders create the courses in accordance with the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), through joint sponsorship with the associations for their physicians.

When marketing your products, we use design, words and motion to tell your story. These elements, together with logic and creativity define what we do.

eMedtrain, inc. is led by CEO Dr. Richard M. Jay, a Professor in Foot and Ankle Orthopedics at Temple University, former Director of Pediatric Foot and Ankle Orthopedics at Temple University, and former Director of the Foot and Ankle Surgical Residency Program and Medical Education at the Graduate Hospital in Philadelphia. He authored and edited 22 medical texts and over 38 surgical journal articles, and produced 11 instructional video taped courseware registered with the Library of Congress. Dr. Jay has presented lectures on the latest principles of Surgery, Pediatrics and Diabetic Wound Management nationally and internationally at over 100 medical and surgical conferences. He is the past president of the American College of Foot and Ankle Pediatrics and former section editor of the Journal of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgery.

Throughout his medical career, Dr. Jay and his colleagues have encountered a recurring need to access cutting edge information to manage care and to meet their annual Continuing Medical Education (CME) credit needs. Licensure requirements vary by state and busy professionals routinely scramble to obtain these credits and file applications as renewal deadlines approach. Often this results in a reduction of income--producing office hours due to the necessity of travel to expensive conferences. In recent years, CME options have broadened to include more convenient yet less satisfactory forms such as conferences on CD ROMs and online or print versions of text based courses, which to date have been rather cut and dried.

In 2000, Dr. Jay fused his professional skills with his experience in education and training to design a multi-media based online learning system that delivers professional training, information, education and CMEs to healthcare professionals, corporations and consumers. In sharp contrast to early market entrants and confirmed by focus groups, Dr. Jay developed courses that superbly communicate complex thoughts and maintain the viewer's interest through the use of high quality graphics, visuals, film, text, and the spoken word in a captivating and branded presentation format.

eMedtrain's online educational programs are designed to provide accredited modules, videos and seminars to medical and surgical professionals.

The result is increased knowledge and improved patient care. Our online programs allow physicians to learn about ongoing advances in their fields in an accessible and time-flexible way, at the office or in the comfort of their homes.

The Virtual Exhibit Hall is a landing page that sits on the home page of the medical association. The Exhibit Hall is comprised of several corporate landing pages, identified by a sponsor's logo. The exhibits vary in style and delivery, depending on their sponsor and the brands they want to promote.

The Virtual Hall offers exhibitors a multi-sensory experience, using the power of motion and sound to directly address customers. The Virtual Exhibit Hall is limited only by one's imagination.

Continuing Education Module

Lisa Van Allsburg has recently joined emedtrain and will be focusing on Marketing and Development.

Lisa, a graduate of the University of Michigan, was an active trustee in the Lifespan System of hospitals in Rhode Island for over a decade. A steering force in Hasbro Children's Hospital, she, together with her husband, author/illustrator Chris Van Allsburg (The Polar Express) founded the nationally recognized Draw A Breath asthma program there. In 2002, she produced the documentary Draw a Breath with Danny Devito, which has been distributed to community hospitals throughout North America.

Health care and health care marketing are in her blood. She believes that online medical education is the doctor's new classroom.

In 2001, Lisa sold her broadcast consulting business, Morrison and Abraham, and took time off to raise her two daughters. I'm thrilled she has joined me in advancing our work in medical education and marketing. She is a small force of nature; a smart, down-to earth dynamo -- we are lucky to have her.

"eMedtrain is the only company I know that supplies such informative and credible CME content to associations at no cost! Without them it would be difficult to provide the quality programs that our membership values."
Joni Shulman, Vice President of Medical Edcuation, American Association of Neurological Surgeons

"With recent legislation and the business climate in general, our options for end-user interaction have become quite limited. Corporate sponsorship through eMedtrain presents us with an affordable way to get our message to medical professionals."
Lisa Thompson, Vice President of Global Marketing Trauma, Stryker Orthopedics, Mahwah, NJ

"It is imperative that we "touch" our customers as often as possible to stimulate sales. Association support and course sponsorship is one way to provide value and build our brand."
Tom Tarca, Vice President of Sales, Integra Life Sciences, Plainsboro, NJ

"With healthcare reform continually pressuring my reimbursement rate, I no longer feel comfortable leaving my office to travel to conferences several times a year to gain my CME credit."

"I trust the content on my association's site to be of consistently higher quality and more targeted to my needs and interests than the random CME courses offered independently."
